Our meats are shipped coast to coast with FREE shipping on orders over 20 pounds.

Important: All shipping charges (whether $40.00, $30.00, or FREE) apply only to products purchased on this website. Reduced or free shipping does not apply to in-store purchases or phone orders placed at our retail outlet in McPherson, Kansas.

Shipping Fees & Handling

Due to handling and packaging requirements, our shipping costs follow the rules below. These rates apply to all states within the continental United States. Alaska and Hawaii are excluded and will incur an additional shipping surcharge.

A surcharge may also apply to very small orders due to handling fees.

Shipping Rates:

• Up to 10 lbs: $40.00 shipping fee
  
• 10–20 lbs: $30.00 shipping fee
  
• Over 20 lbs: FREE SHIPPING
  

All item prices include dry ice or ice packs and an insulated shipping container.

Returns

If your order is returned to our facility because of an incorrect address provided or refusal of delivery when shipped we have to dispose of the contents and you will not a receive a refund. For more information, please refer to our Return Policy.

Product Safety & Delivery Guarantee

Krehbiels Specialty Meats, Inc. is responsible for ensuring your meat arrives in safe condition. Our shipping methods have been carefully designed and tested so your order arrives in pristine shape.

Most orders arrive frozen solid. On rare occasions, meat may begin to thaw slightly during transit. This is not a cause for concern—partially thawed meat is still much colder than refrigerator temperature.

If this occurs, please check the meat as follows:

1. Place a digital meat thermometer between two packages.
   
2. Press the packages together.
   
3. If the temperature is below 50°F, the meat is safe.
   

For reference, 50°F is similar to the temperature of meat brought home from a grocery store.

If a shipment is lost, delayed, or misdirected by the carrier and arrives spoiled, we will refund the full order amount. Shipping quality is just as important to us as it is to you.

How Do We Keep Your Meats Frozen?

Our shipping boxes are heavily insulated and packed with sufficient coolant to keep meat frozen for many hours beyond the expected delivery time.

• Refrigerated meat is considered safe by the USDA at 40°F
  
• Our products ship at approximately -10°F
  

During summer months, when outdoor temperatures can exceed 100°F, some packages may experience partial thawing. These packages may not feel ice-cold to the touch, but this does not indicate spoilage. A slight temperature increase can make the product feel softer even while still frozen.

This meat can be safely refrozen with little to no effect on quality. Compared to grocery store meat—which is often only cool by the time you get home—our products arrive significantly colder.

Tip: Larger orders tend to stay frozen longer than smaller orders.

Delivery Responsibility & FedEx Policies

In rare cases of severe weather, holiday volume, or shipping accidents, delays may occur that are beyond our control.

Customers are responsible for ensuring:

• Someone is available to receive the package, or
  
• The package can be safely left at the delivery address
  

FedEx will not leave packages at:

• Multi-dwelling buildings with shared entrances
  
• Locations they deem unsafe
  

FedEx typically attempts delivery on a second day if the first attempt fails. If delivery is unsuccessful, the package must be picked up at the local FedEx location.

We do not require signatures for delivery, so FedEx will leave the package when conditions allow.
